Pawan Singh, popularly known as “Powerstar,” is a renowned Indian playback singer, actor, music composer, and stage performer. Born on January 5, 1986, in Arrah, Bihar, Singh has made a significant impact in the Bhojpuri film industry.
Singh was born to Rama Shankar Singh and Pratima Singh in Jokahri Village, Arrah City, Bihar. He completed his graduation from Maharaja College, Arrah. His paternal uncle, Ajeet Singh, is also a Bhojpuri singer who noticed Pawan’s interest in singing and started giving him lessons.
Singh’s music career began with his first album “Odhaniya Wali” in 1997. He gained widespread recognition with his hit song “Lollypop Lagelu” in 2008. He has worked on numerous Bhojpuri-language pop albums as a vocalist and has sung in Bollywood movies like “Stree 2” and “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video”. Some of his notable songs include

Personal Life
Singh married Neelam Singh in 2014, but she tragically passed away in 2015. He later married Jyoti Singh in 2018 and filed for divorce in 2022. Singh has been involved in controversies, including an incident where he was accused of inappropriately touching co-star Anjali Raghav during a promotional event.
Singh joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2014 and was made the candidate for the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Asansol. However, he denied contesting from there and later decided to contest from Karakat Lok Sabha constituency as an independent candidate, but lost the election .
